Hall of Fame

Across the nation, there are museums that teach of the atrocities of slavery or memorialize the leaders of the Civil Rights Movement. There are museums to commemorate musicians or honor fallen war heroes. But there hasn't been a museum dedicated to Rhythm & Blues music, how it encapsulates African American culture and has become a part of American history. That is until nowy, thrive by great movements, and remain intertwined by the power of Rhythm & Blues music until now.

No other city brings all of these components of the story together more completely and dramatically than the city of Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland is the place to explore, educate, celebrate, and live the impact of not only African American culture of Rhythm & Blues music but the music of many genres. There has been no truer statement to describe the true nature of this city than “Cleveland Rocks”.

The R&B Music Hall of Fame Museum is bringing to life the colorful history of Rhythm & Blues music. Located in Cleveland, Ohio this collection of historical artifacts and interactive presentations is the perfect outing for a family, school group or club. The Hall of Fame section of the museum will be a dynamic venue that honors the legends of Rhythm & Blues music legends, past and present. The museum will be an interactive experience designed for people of all ages. You will enjoy the rich history of Rhythm & Blues music from the early days originating in the 1940's when "urban, rocking, jazz based music with a heavy insistent beat" was becoming more popular, to the R&B of today You will be able to learn about well known and unknown artists and individuals who have had a major influence on Rhythm & Blues music.
