In addition to those two heavyweights, the 2nd class of the R&BHOF inductees also include The Whispers, The Impressions, The Delfonics, The Dells, The Spinners, The Funk Brothers, Chubby Checker, Marvin Gaye, The Sweet Impression, Norn N. Nite (radio personality), and Russell Thompkins of The Stylistics.

Last year’s inaugural class of 2013 was headed up by James Brown, Jackie Wilson, The Four Tops, The Temptations, The O’Jays and many more to a standing room only crowd at Cleveland State University.

Greenlighted by city officials, organizers are endeavoring to build the R&B HOF in the City of Canton – the home of The O’Jays and the site of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The $10M state-of-the-art official
R&BHOF will be the first of its kind in the world to honor R&B, Soul and Gospel legends.

The organizers along with the City of Canton are looking for a site to build this great music museum. A mobile museum on wheels exhibit is currently touring the country.  For a complete 2014 roster of honorees, please visit www.RBHallofFame.com.
